Interested in mentoring a student with chronic pain, chronic illness/health condition, and/or disability?

Are you interested in mentoring a student with chronic pain, chronic illness/health condition, and/or disability? CHAMP (Chronic Health Allies Mentorship Program) is a mentorship program and community for students with chronic illness, chronic pain, and/or disability!

Graduate students with chronic pain, illness, and/or disability are paired with undergraduate or graduate students who have similar experiences to provide one-on-one mentorship. The program aims to provide guidance and support for students navigating situations such as disclosure experiences with professors/TAs, applying for and requesting accommodations, and general advice for managing health conditions as a student. Graduate students will attend one training event this semester and will then be matched with your mentee.

CHAMP is also here to build a disability community, so if you are interested in that but not mentoring, there is a space in the survey to indicate that you want to be a community member.

Graduate students interested in joining CHAMP should fill out this short form (~ 3 mins): https://forms.gle/6AQjxgHuqivxikKD6

We look forward to hearing from you! Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions at champuwmadison@gmail.com.
