Linzheng Yu
Linzheng Yu (he/him) is a first-year graduate student in the Urban and Regional Planning program at University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Linzheng originally from China, moved to the U.S. in 2016 and attended West High School in Madison, WI. He later earned his Bachelor’s degree in Community and Regional Planning from Iowa State University, where he developed a deep interest in GIS. During his undergraduate studies, Linzheng contributed to planning projects such as the 10 Year Comprehensive Plan for the City of Martensdale, Iowa, and the “Play Ames: Imagine your City” community survey.
As a graduate student, Linzheng’s current research interests include high-density urban environments research and spatial equity analysis through GIS. He is actively seeking research opportunities to further develop his expertise.
In addition to his academic pursuits, Linzheng is an photographer whose works have been featured in regional exhibitions. He is also a signed photographer with Midwest Artists’ Space & Services, where he uses his photography to explore the intersection of urban spaces and humanistic elements.
