Alayne Kulp
Alayne Kulp (she/her/hers) is a double degree master’s student in Urban & Regional Planning and Water Resources Management at the Nelson Institute of Environmental Studies. Her interests include watershed science, data analysis, community engagement, and environmental policy, with a focus on water resource planning. Alayne also works as a Student Sustainability Data Analyst in the Office of Sustainability, where she supports campus sustainability efforts through data organization, analysis, and reporting.
A lifelong Wisconsin resident, Alayne grew up on a dairy farm in Marathon County before completing undergraduate studies in Geography and Professional Writing at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. Then, holding a management position in the hospitality sector, she gained skills in communication and team supervision, further enhancing her ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders. She is passionate about expanding and then applying her knowledge to address modern land and water resource related challenges in Wisconsin communities.
