I am a third culture kid who has a BA from University of North Texas School of Music, and BSEd from UW-Superior. Before arriving at UW-Madison I was a performing artist, preK-12 teacher, and deeply involved with Northwoods community radio, as well as a journalist for a small town Black Hills newspaper. I have spent much of my adult live in remote towns in the Southwest, the Rockies, Black Hills, and the south shore of Lake Superior.

My interests are in gardening, quiet sports, cooking, traveling, music, dancing, trees, mountains, Lake Superior, clean water, education, the creative force…

I believe in the potential that the field of landscape architecture has in preparing our future designers and planners with the integrity and ecological awareness needed as demands on our resources grow.

Please contact me with questions regarding our undergraduate program that offers an accredited, professional design (and a landscape studies degree). I can assist you with questions regarding the program, recruitment, internships, academic and department policy, as well as alumni outreach.
