URPL + LA Alumni

URPL ALUMNI

Graduates of the Urban and Regional Planning program are part of a proud history of over fifty years of planning education at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. There are several ways for alumni to get involved in the program, the Department of Planning and Landscape Architecture, and the University, and we always look forward to hearing from you.

URPL is extremely grateful for the generosity and high level of engagement of our alumni. Your donations and contributions have helped continue a strong tradition of planning excellence. We would not be here without your support.

Get Connected

Contact information is available through the Wisconsin Alumni Association database. By logging in there, alumni can control what information WAA displays, and you can connect with other alumni who have made their contact information available through the database. For reasons of security and privacy, URPL will never share your contact information without your consent, so the database is the best place to look to get in touch with someone you remember from your time at the Department.

A new way to network with students and alumni is Badger Bridge. Join today!

If you are interested in connecting with URPL alumni in your region, the Alumni Relations Council (ARC) is working on setting up URPL chapters around the country to facilitate professional networking and social connections between alumni living in the same area. If you’re interested in setting up an URPL chapter in your region, get in touch with us.

This program maintains an active annual Awards and Honors Program that includes the following:

  • ASLA Awards of Honor and Merit
  • Outstanding Publication Award
  • Outstanding Public Service Award
  • Outstanding Departmental Service Award
  • Distinguished Alumni Award

The Landscape Architecture program also actively publishes newsletters that showcases our seniors’ capstones and to update our landscape architecture community about events occurring within the program itself.
