A graduate student in Urban and Regional Planning MS degree program. Jamie Valentine earned a bachelor’s degree in Geography with a focus in planning and development from University of Wisconsin-Madison, and two associate degrees, one in Architectural Technologies from Madison Area Technical College and one in Anthropology from University of Wisconsin Colleges. Professionally, Jamie has worked in architecture and civil and environmental engineering firms developing business administration, project management, and technical skills. She has served the Engineers Without Borders (EWB) community as a workshop coordinator, and professional mentor. Jamie intends to understand issues at the intersection of water, land and natural resources uses, with a focus on regional planning.
In her free time Jamie enjoys outdoor activities with family and friends, particularly rock climbing and mountain biking. Most of all, she enjoys experiential learning about people, places, and science!
