Rishika Tumula

Rishika is a first year Master’s student in the Urban Planning program. She graduated from Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad in 2021 with a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering. Before coming to Madison, she worked in structural engineering, environmental engineering and in the start-up sector. Her interests are transportation planning and sustainable development, and answering questions on equity and gender. She wants to use her experience in engineering to bridge the gap between the technical consultants and policy makers.

In her free time, she likes to read, paint, do yoga, and have coffee with friends.
