A Wisconsinite through and through, Rachel grew up in Waukesha, completed undergraduate degrees in Public Administration and Political Science from UW-La Crosse, then landed in the middle at UW-Madison for graduate school. She is a dual degree student earning both an MS in Urban and Regional Planning and a Master of Public Affairs from the La Follette School of Public Affairs, as well as a graduate certificate in Entrepreneurship from the UW-Madison School of Business. Rachel is primarily interested in economic development, public management, and community branding. She is a Graduate Research Analyst for the Center for Community and Economic Development at UW-Extension where she gets to help Wisconsin communities achieve their full potential. She is also the first Todd A. Berry Fellow for the Wisconsin Policy Forum where she studies Tax Increment Finance in Wisconsin. In her free time, Rachel enjoys cooking, hunting, and spending time anywhere with a view of the Madison lakes.
