Nick Johnson is second-year Master’s student, pursuing a degree in Urban and Regional Planning. He is a lifelong Madisonian and graduated from UW-Madison in 2012 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography and GIS. He spent six years from 2012-2018 working at Epic, a healthcare software company based outside of Madison. He’s beyond ecstatic to begin his second year in the program, specifically focusing on sustainable transportation networks and land use planning.
He worked for the Janesville MPO over the summer and currently works as an Urban Planning Intern with MDRoffers Consulting, a planning firm in Madison specializing in community development, growth management, planning and zoning administration, and school district facility planning.
In his free time, you can find Nick doing all the fun Madison things with his husband and dog: farmer’s market, hanging at the terrace, running/biking the trails, hiking southwest Wisconsin, reading at the park, and of course watching Badger/Packer games on the weekend.
