Nick DeMarsh

Nick DeMarsh is a PhD student in Urban and Regional Planning. His research interests are community food systems and active transportation. Nick earned a Master’s in Urban Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where he was a Milwaukee Idea for Economic Development Fellow. He earned his Undergraduate Degree in Political Science from the University of Oregon.

Nick is currently a Research Assistant with the VA FARMS project, which identifies farm training and mentorship opportunities in the Madison area for veterans seeking careers in farming. Nick remains involved in transit advocacy in Milwaukee and Madison. He is currently the President of the Wisconsin Transit Riders Alliance.
