Matthew Krempely

Matthew is a second year M.S. Urban and Regional Planning student from Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. He completed his B.S. in Geography from University of Wisconsin – Madison in May of 2022, where he conducted undergraduate research investigating tree canopy distribution alongside race and education. As a former intelligence analyst in the US Navy, he spent much of his time examining the many cities and environments to which he traveled. Drawing on his previous experiences, Matthew looks to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to design human-centric communities and transportation infrastructure. Matthew lives in Madison with his cat, Marie.
