Zach Gerras

I graduated from Kutztown University in 2016 with a degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and a minor in Cultural Anthropology. I am a first-year student in the Master of Science in Urban and Regional Planning (MS URPL) program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

From 2017 to 2024, I served as a Chemical, Biological, and Radiological specialist in the military. During this time, I worked with a Civil Affairs unit, collaborating with NGOs and other civilian counterparts to support their respective communities. This experience deepened my understanding of community dynamics and the importance of effective communication and coordination in addressing local needs.
