Neira Dewiarti

Neira is a second-year M.S. student in the Urban and Regional Planning program at UW-Madison. Originally from Bandung, Indonesia, she earned her B.Sc. in Urban and Regional Planning from Institut Teknologi Bandung (Bandung Institute of Technology). After graduating, she worked for two years at Indonesia’s Ministry of Public Works and Housing, contributing to various projects, including the development of Indonesia’s new capital city, Nusantara.
Her interests lie in housing, community development, and urban design. In early 2024, she began working as a planning assistant for Dane County Planning & Development, focusing on updating town comprehensive plans and creating a model template to streamline the process.
Outside of her academic and professional pursuits, Neira enjoys watching movies and traveling. She hopes to explore as many places as possible across the United States during her time here.
