Deaken Boggs
Deaken is a Second year Masters in Urban and Regional Planning and Land Use student. He began his dive into the field by studying Natural Resources Planning at University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point. While there he also found a passion for housing issues while working with the Student Government Association while addressing local housing issues.
After graduation he moved with his partner to Madison where he worked in property management and the business end of providing housing services for the past 4 years. However, he has now recently started a new position with Madison Area Community Land Trust (MACLT) where he will be managing the homeowner maintenance program and dipping his feet into property development.
Deaken hopes to work within property development management and focus his passion for housing related issues to address housing insecurity throughout communities. He hopes to help developers and communities to understand the intricacies of housing shortages and help develop community focused solutions for these shortages.
