William S. Dean
William is from Cooper City, Florida, a small suburb of Fort Lauderdale. In May of 2016, William graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and a minor in History. He is primarily concerned with sources of alternative energy, and how it can be planned, implemented and managed in urban landscapes. Additionally, William’s research interests include political economic theory, sustainable urban development, and geographic information systems (GIS). He is expected to graduate in May of 2019 with an M.S. in Urban & Regional Planning with a concentration in GIS Applications and Utilization, as well as a certificate in Energy Analysis & Policy from the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies.
