Shawn T. Kelly
Shawn T. Kelly is a practicing landscape architect at his design bid firm in Williams Bay, Wis. He also is on the faculty of the Department of Landscape Architecture at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Shawn is also the director of the Center for Sustainable Design in the Department of Landscape Architecture at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Along with teaching, advising, and departmental duties he also works with the various Ojibwa nations in northern Wisconsin, both with UW Extension and in his practice.
Shawn has presented some of his Ojibwa projects at CELA meetings, two presentations in Tucson, and one in Athens, Georgia, and abroad at the second Conference on Design, in Berlin, Germany.
In 2009 Shawn was inducted as a Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects in the category of Knowledge. This honor is given to less than one percent of all Landscape Architects. In 2012 Shawn was elected as Vice President of the American Society of Landscape Architects.
Shawn has been a proposal reviewer for CELA presentations. His major focus in both practice and teaching is stormwater management, cultural, economic, and environmental sustainable projects, and precise detail construction.
