Summary:

Salary Range: $70,000.00 To $80,000.00 Annually

Incumbent will utilize traffic, macro-socioeconomic data, and other available data to explain traffic performance and its impacts on traffic and revenue. Utilization of various traffic models to develop traffic and revenue forecasts for the Indiana Toll Road (ITR) and contribute to the development of long-term optimal pricing strategies.

Incumbent will also be given the unique opportunity and exposure to the development of private toll roads and undertake analysis and modelling to assist Senior Management and Board of Directors in making informed decisions.

Relationships:

  • Directly reports to the Senior Traffic Analyst, Director of Traffic and Revenue and Chief Financial Officer.
  • Works directly with Toll Operations, Infrastructure staff and Supervisors from other departments.
  • Works with external consultants and stakeholders on traffic and revenue analysis and reporting.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Performs all tasks safely, complies with all internal and external safety requirements, supports ITRCC safety culture, attends all safety trainings and completes all compliance trainings as required by ITRCC.
  • Uphold ITRCC’s core values: Community, Actions, Reliability, Excellence and Safety (CARES).
  • Assists in the preparation of periodic traffic and revenue analysis and reporting.
  • Collaborate with the team to manage, validate, and improve the traffic and revenue database
  • Identifies potential construction projects affecting the ITR and assesses the traffic impacts.
  • Supports the presentation of traffic and revenue performance to management, the Board, shareholders and the Indiana Finance Authority, as necessary.
  • Assists in the development of traffic and toll revenue budgets.
  • Analysis and interprets traffic and macro-socioeconomic data for the development, calibration, and validation of traffic and revenue models.
  • Works within the Traffic team along with Management to develop the optimal tolling strategy.
  • Interacts with external consultants on the development of long-term traffic and revenue forecasts.
  • Assists in the delivery of the annual Level of Service report in accordance with the Concession and Lease Agreement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications: (required)                                                                  

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, planning economics or other quantitative fields
  • Experience in the management, processing and interpretation of large data sets
  • Proficiency in travel demand modelling software (e.g., OpenPaths EMME, VISSIM) and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Python, SQL)
  • Familiar with relevant traffic engineering and planning policies and standards
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

Desirable Experience:

  • 0-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area
  • Experience in building, maintaining, modifying, and using large datasets such as GIS and GPS data
  • Experience in statistical or econometric modelling
  • Experience with business intelligence tools, including Microsoft Power BI, a plus
