Under direction of the Administrator, the Land Use Specialist I/II promotes and protects the environmental health, safety and general welfare of the county citizens through regulation of the County Zoning, POWTS, Floodplain, Shoreland, Recycling, and Subdivision & Platting Ordinances.
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Planning/Zoning, Soil Science, Natural Resources, Sanitation, Environmental Health or related field
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Soil Science, Natural Resources, GIS, Land Surveying, or Code Enforcement field
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Certifications, Licenses, etc.
- Possess and maintain valid Wisconsin Driver’s License
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a State of Wisconsin Private Onsite Wastewater Treatment System (POWTS) Inspector license within 12 months of hire
