Pacific Coastal Research and Planning (PCRP) is looking forward to welcoming a
motivated Environmental Planner to our growing team and portfolio of projects. The
Planner will play a key role in environmental planning and implementation projects in
both marine and terrestrial settings, and will engage directly with community groups,
government stakeholders, and technical experts to advance coastal restoration and
resilience strategies
We’re seeking an enthusiastic professional capable of working both independently and in a
small, team-based environment. Candidates will have demonstrated experience developing
environmental management plans or resilience strategies, working on ecosystem restoration
projects, and coordinating community outreach. The Planner will be an integral part of a
diverse set of coastal and marine-related projects, and will be comfortable assisting with or
leading stakeholder engagement in a multi-cultural setting.
Job Duties & Responsibilities :
-Support the development and implementation of technical
planning documents such as watershed management
plans, conservation strategies, or site-specific restoration
designs.
-Assist or lead the design and implementation of projectrelated community outreach events or campaigns
-Lead or assist in the preparation of environmental
permitting materials and associated meetings with
government agencies and regulatory authorities.
-Conduct environmental site analysis and environmental
characterizations of project spaces, including assistance in
the collection of biological, physical, and spatial data.
-Assist or lead the design of workshops, meetings, or other
community engagement efforts.
-Support general communications and outreach regarding
project milestones and opportunities for the community to
collaborate with PCRP

develop new project ideas or proposals that you are
passionate and excited about
