Experience the Northwoods! The North Central Wisconsin Regional Planning
Commission (NCWRPC) is searching for a highly motivated individual to become
its newest staff member. The new planner will be part of a professional planning
team serving the communities of north central Wisconsin.
This position will be responsible for a variety of tasks focused on community
planning, economic development, and land use. The new Planner will work with
towns, villages, cities, and counties to prepare various types of plans.
Applicants should have basic knowledge of planning principles and practice,
familiarity with various state and federal programs, strong communication skills,
computer proficiency, and be able to handle multiple tasks and projects. Ability
to collect, analyze, and report data is critical. Must be organized and able to
work both independently and as part of a team.
A bachelor’s degree in business, economics, planning or a related field is
required. Some professional experience, such as an internship, is desired. Recent
and soon to be graduates are encouraged to apply. The position requires
occasional attendance at night meetings and some travel. Applicants must
possess or obtain a Wisconsin Driver’s license.
The NCWRPC is a voluntary association of governments created in 1973 by
Wisconsin Statute and serves Adams, Forest, Juneau, Langlade, Lincoln,
Marathon, Oneida, Portage, Vilas, and Wood Counties. NCWRPC is also a
