The Community Development Planner serves as the project manager for neighborhood plans, comprehensive plan amendments, and special planning studies. The Community Development Planner also leads outreach and engagement to increase interaction with city government in such areas as community gardens, agricultural programing, local food systems, and community development. Assists with updating city plan documents and plans; organizes and completes projects, undertakes reviews of development proposals involving data gathering and analysis, and updates of City policies, regulations, and ordinances. Supports and provides consultation to other departments and various City bodies on planning and development matters as needed.
