Congratulations to the UW-Madison American Society of Landscape Architecture (ASLA) Chapter for earning the Visibility award at the ASLA-Wisconsin State Conference February 19th. The Visibilty award is given by the Wisconsin ASLA to, “recognize persons and organizations who have enhanced the visibility of the profession of landscape architecture in Wisconsin, promoted excellence in land planning and landscape design, promoted professional ethics, and fostered environmental stewardship and enhanced quality of life.”
According to the chapter’s social media coordinator, Rachel Nicolaison, “The award recognized the UW-Madison ASLA Student Chapter for using different forms of social media to significantly increased public awareness of the profession of landscape architecture.” This award is in recognition of the Student Chapter Instagram swap with Arizona State University Landscape Architecture program last April during World Landscape Architecture Month. The chapter also increased awareness by taking over the Wisconsin State Chapter’s Instagram to display the work the students have been doing in the program.
