Environmental Engineer

The Capital Area Regional Planning Commission is seeking to fill an immediate opening for a permanent, full-time Environmental Engineer position. This is an intermediate-level, multi-disciplinary planning / engineering position.

The Environmental Engineer works under the supervision of the Environmental Resources Planning Division Director. They take lead responsibility in projects including engineering plan review, environmental impact analysis, report writing, presentations, and related work as required. Requires coordination with work by other staff and outside agencies.

Candidates must have graduated from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, or a closely related engineering field and have at least five years of directly related experience. Current registration as a Professional Engineer in Wisconsin or the ability to be licensed within one year of the start of employment is required.
