The San Francisco Planning Department is please to announce the 2018 Summer Internship Program. The program is available for qualified students and recent graduates for a 12-week period from June 4-August 24. San Francisco Planning is looking for bright and enthusiastic interns interested in the planning field to work on a variety of projects this summer. This will be a rewarding and valuable experience for those interested in the planning field and desire introductory work experience or college credit. Interns will conduct research, collect and analyze data, and prepare draft documents for planning work related to affordable housing, historic preservation, cultural and archaeological resources, environmental planning, transportation, urban design, and many more.
Applications are due by Friday, February 16, 2018 and selections will be made by no later than March 30, 2018. The 12-week program includes an orientation to the city, government agencies and the Planning Department. The program concludes with intern presentations to Planning staff, explaining the results of their work and discussing their summer experiences.
Salaries are provided for all positions. The positions are funded at a rate of $26.25 per hour for 12 weeks. All positions are full time at 40 hours per week.
