Associate professor Kurt Paulsen was featured in an article recently published by The Cap Times. The article discusses a recent resolution by faculty members to encourage campus administrators to implement a plant to become carbon neutral by 2050 or sooner. The UW-Madison Faculty Senate unanimously passed the resolution on November 6. The resolution encourages funding , creation and implementation of a campus-wide climate action plan with specific and measurable targets.
Paulsen, a sponsor for the Faculty Senate, was interviewed in article, and said that this sets a goal to become carbon neutral. As a climate action plan develops, specific steps will be begin to be identified.
